About the FPSSA

Staff

Carter Organizer

Carter is a rambunctious woman who has way too much time on her hands. She discovered FPSSA while it was at the end of season two. She loves what the site represents and will stick by it forever. She has one dog, named Achilles (a Husky,) and a fiancée. Not sure when she is tying the knot; when she knows, she'll let you know. She is a very out-spoken person, just ask her anything. Her favorite thing in the world (and this is sad to admitt) is Pop music. She's been a fan for 16 years now, and that doesn't ever seem like it will change. You can find her here on Fictionpress.

Alice Graphics

Alice has been doing the graphics for the FPSSA since season two. She has taken part in the FPSSA after winning a season one round. Most of the time Alice can be found at her computer doing nothing but playing video games, but when she does put her mind to it, she does manage to get some work done. She loves puppies and hot chocolate, and catching snow flakes on her nose, and doing nothing but goofing off all day. And then she must wake up to reality where she has to go to school or work. You can find her here on Fictionpress.

Kandice Founder

Kandice is a sweet yet devious little blonde who spends too much time obsessing over her eyes and hair, even if they are really lovely. She does not enjoy long walks on the beach, in fact, she doesn't really care for the beach at all, even though she lives less than a mile from it. She does enjoys Muay Thai, criticizing, and pissing off her closest friends. She also attends the University of San Diego as a freshman. You can find her on FP as omgitskandice. Yes, seriously.

Judges

Rochelle

Best Plot

Best Story That Never Seems To End

A long-time member of Fictionpress, Rochelle is a college kid who just can't stop writing, editing, and reading. She still watches Beauty and the Beast and can't be bribed, but LOVES sushi and ocha..... She has grown up with plenty of siblings, and loves them even when they play Creed at abominable hours of the night. Thus, she is a morning person, with a mostly green thumb and a dislike for most animals smaller than a cat (or dogs close enough in size). First met FPSSA in March 2009, nominating her best beta and friend spikedmango for her birthday and also won Best Plot for The Three Powers that season. Rochelle was an auxiliary judge for FPSSA for Summer 2009 in Best Plot, and feels her cockles spark with excitement at being able to judge this season! You can find her here on Fictionpress.

AJ

Best Romance

AJ never thought she would update her profile because frankly she is a reader not a writer (a little like a lover not a fighter.) She decided to update her profile, though, when she signed on as a judge for the FP Supernatural Awards Season Two. She is very, very excited to do this because she feels closer to the wonderful community of writers even if, as was mentioned, she is not one. You can find her here on Fictionpress.

Megan

Best Vampire

Megan lives in the middle of Missouri. She is 18 and currently in the first stages of writing the first book of a trilogy; the first series she’s been serious about finishing. She writes a lot of poetry and short stories or one shots and loves doing that. Right now she is beta reading for IncapableDreams and SpeakfortheNoise on FP and she likes to edit other things, such as random one shots and poetry, for friends and family, near and far. She likes the rain, post-it notes and Tinker Bell. Megan dislikes when she doesn't get to help pop the bubbles on the bubble wrap sheet, when her toes being cold, and asparagus. Her favorite hobbies, aside from reading and writing, are being outside at ungodly hours of the night, smiling and listening. She would like to add that she was part of FPSSA way back when Kayleigh was planning it, before season one, was too busy for season two, but judged Best One Shot in season three. And she is greatly looking forward to helping out this season and working with the wonderful Carter. You can find her here on Fictionpress.

Swarlos

Best Written

Jen (aka Swarlos) comes to FPSSA with a sharp tongue and a vast imagination, willing to not only correct grammar, punctucation, spelling, and style (which she not hesitate to do!), but to share suggestions and ideas for improvement in other aspects of an author's work. Her story Half-Breed: Book One was winner of Best Vampire Story, Best Kick-Ass Character, and Judge's Pick for Season Three. Jen is also too lazy to write anything else at this moment and encourages eveyone to click on the link at the end of this bio to gain a better sense of her persona. You can find her here on Fictionpress

Katie

Best One Shot

Being the oldest seven kids, Katie found her escape from said hooligans through Fictionpress and its fantastic array of reading material (much to the annoyance of her siblings for all her computer hogging.) Katie has been an avid reader on FP for years now and has decided to finally put her obsessive reading disorder to good use. You will most likely find her hidden in her closet and huddled over her laptop with her eyes franticly scanning her latest reading interest. Beware; she has been known to bite when interrupted from a good story. You can find her here on Fictionpress

Lisa

Best Were-Animal

Lisa is the type of girl who always, no matter where has a book with her. On the way to dinner and even to school. She is a senior in high-school, and her favorite subject is history. She loves mythology and everything to do with Greece and Rome. She is not much of a writer, but she has loved reading ever since she was a little girl. She buys and collects all her books in her room (which she has over 600 books in) and some of her favorite authors are Meg Cabot, Kresley Cole, and Gena Showalter. Her favorite all-time show is Charmed. She is mostly Italian and it is her favorite type of food. In some ways she still acts like a little girl, coloring, watching disney movies and hanging out on the swings in her backyard, but in ways she is very mature and grown-up. She is wild, yet sensitive and is always up for a new person to talk to! Oh, and she is also addicted to her new mac laptop that she spends hours upon hours reading on. You can find her here on Fictionpress

Nia

Most Memorable Character

Nia has had a passionate love affair with literature ever since she learned English at five. Although she has a tendency to randomly stop writing stories, she does enjoy writing pieces in which people can fall in love with characters, hate them thoroughly, and then fall in love with them all over again. She was thrilled when she recently found FPSSA and immediately sent in an application as a judge. She hopes to thoroughly judge pieces but not to the point where authors cry symbolic tears of artistic angst. Although Nia is only of sixteen years, she likes to think she seems older due to the trials she went through as young child witnessing violent deaths in her home land, Africa. She also uses her strange wit and odd experiences to enrich her writing. You can find her here on Fictionpress

Cher

Best Non-Mainstream Character

Cher is a bibliophile who loves the smell of printed pages. Despite purchasing the Foxit Eslick, she enjoys the leisure of scouring bookstores (an activity that never fails to drain her wallet). She admits to being a procrastinating perfectionist, which is probably why she has never got around to posting anything up on FP. When not cuddled up with a good book, Cher can often be found cuddling up to her two spoilt, overfed cats. While she’s a psychology graduate who fully intends to pursue a career in a related field, she’s also interested in the animal kingdom. And even though she currently appeases herself saving the lives of a few members of the insect family, she dreams of getting involved in wildlife conservation. You can find her here on Fictionpress

MaGa

Best Kick-Ass Character

MaGa is a college student with an agro-related major, so don’t be confused if she throws a mango or physiology conversation around FPSSA. She’s an 18 year-old South American who’s a hard-core animal lover. She used to have 5 dogs and 4 cats, now she only has 3 and 1. They are all street animals. A firm believer of animals’ right she spends most of her time juggling between: going camping, the campus, the computer and well… living life to the fullest. She’s not a writer but she likes to think of herself as a poet. Loquacious, loud, stubborn and doesn’t know when to stop. Among other responsibilities MaGa is: a staff for Undiscovered, part of the Scouts Asociation and NOW: A FPSSA judge. You can find her here on Fictionpress

Charlotte

Funniest Character

Charlotte gets sick of her real name, one day she decided to create some kind of pen name; Charlotte just stuck. Moving on, Charlotte adores the unexplained and supernatural. If she could, she would solve every mystery about the universe because she thirsts to know things deemed unknown. She’s one of those exasperatingly brutal honest pessimists, but somehow people like her. Charlotte thinks it has something to do with her witty conversational skills even though she’s a tad shy at first and maybe some of her spunk.Charlotte’s only a sophomore in high school and hopes she’ll be able to get everywhere she wants in life. Oh how Charlotte wishes she could travel the world and experience all she can. For now though she’s stuck solving problems in debate club, exploring the guitar, and getting lost in other worlds through stories. You can find her here on Fictionpress
